Vennekretsen means The Circle of Friends - a concept very much practiced by one of the newest Lodges of the Sons of Norway, established in 2008.
Our website was established to provide information about our many activities and events scheduled throughout the year and provide information that will allow you to explore your Norwegian heritage.

For A
MIDSOMMAR /MIDSUMMER
ON LAKE ALLATOONA
When: Saturday June 22nd, 2013 starting at 11 a.m.
Where: Lutherwood, on Lake Allatoona, off of Sandtown Rd, Acworth. (Directions below)
This is a potluck picnic. Bring your favorite dish to share, and bring the beverage of your choice. We are thankful to Nordic Lodge for allowing us to join them at the lake
The Picnic is FREE, however a donation would be appreciated
(to cover the cost of the Lutherwood rental - $100)
The water at the lake will be great for swimming
There will be Midsummer Pole and a kubb game
DIRECTIONS TO LUTHERWOOD RECREATIONAL AREA
1. Drive north on I-75 until you come to exit 277 “Acworth” (Ga 92), then turn left onto Cherokee Rd.
- Cross over the I-75 Bridge. On the other side of the bridge, the road changes name and becomes Cowan Rd. Continue straight ahead until you reach Main Street in Acworth, about 2 miles further.
Note: Highway 92 turns right immediately after the bridge. DO NOT TURN, CONTINUE STRAIGHT AHEAD.
3. When the road ends at Main Street in Acworth, turn right and drive through downtown Acworth and continue 3 miles until you reach the Allatoona lake bridge. Immediately after you cross the bridge you will come to Sandtown Rd. then turn right.
4. Continue on Sandtown Rd., approximately ¾ miles until you come to Lutherwood. If you come to the Naval Recreational Area entrance, you have gone too far.
5. For those with a Garmin or other GPS device, the address for the Naval facility, NEXT DOOR to Lutherwood is: 166 Sandtown Rd., Cartersville GA.

Our Circle of Friends at Vennekretsen Lodge of Atlanta is one of best benefits of membership because it is the collaboration of our fiends and family that makes all of this possible.
Vennekretsen translated to English is "The Circle of Friends" and symbolizes the relationship of the lodge to "familien og vennekretsen" (family and friends).
