Hey there Friends.
Hope that the new year is treating everyone fantastically well.
Thanks to all those who helped us enjoy the very successful Jule Fest / Vennekretsen Christmas Party in December.
Godt Nytt Aar to all in 2011.
It is time to resume our monthly meeting schedule for the 2011 year and make preparations for our Spring events / Strawberry Festival and 17th of May Norwegian Independence Festival.
Regular Vennekretsen meetings and events will be scheduled for the following dates:
February 13th, 2011 ~ monthly meeting
April 3rd, 2011 ~ monthly meeting ( with possible visit from District Sons of Norway officers ) Strawberry Festival ~ April 30th - Saturday Norwegian Independence Day Festival - May 14th Saturday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. ( Rain Day alternate May 15th ~ Sunday)
We hope that we will be able to see as many of you as possible at all of these events this spring!

Note: Our regular habit of having regular club meetings on the first Sunday of even numbered months is still in force,
however, due in large part to the First Sunday in February being Super-Bowl Sunday, we have gotten feedback from members we have contacted that this is not an ideal day for a meeting. Turn-out would be dismally small we fear and would rather that the efforts made to hold a program be enjoyed by as many folks as possible. Thus the Feb 13th change in meeting date.
Please feel free to contact any of the Vennekretsen officers should you have any suggestions or brilliant ideas on how to make our monthly meetings highly successful, well attended, incredibly interesting, very informative and otherwise greatly worthwhile events.

PS. There will be a new Vennekretsen member born in the next month !
My wife Laurie and I are expecting our second daughter to be born very soon. We have decided on a VERY Norwegian name for her as well: Helena Sigrid Kind
Of course we will have her application for membership sent in immediately after her delivery.
