Hotlanta Cool Cats Show-Featuring Norwegian Forest Cat

Come join us and meet the National Cat of Norway: the Norwegian Forest Cat (Norsk Skogkatt). These beautiful cats originally arrived in the United States from Norway in 1979 and received Championship status in 1984 in The International Cat Association. These cats were thought to pull the chariots of the goddess Freya and were included in the fairy tales of Asbjornson and More.
Event: Hotlanta Cool Cats Show
When: April 4th and 5th (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday
Where: Farmers Market, 16 Forest Pkwy, Forest Park, GA 30297. (Exit 237 on I-75)
The Norwegian Forest Cat will be featured at the Hotlanta Cool Cats show on April 4 & 5th, 2009 at the Farmers Market in Forest Park, Georgia.
They will be celebrating a dual anniversary with 25 years in Championship competition and 30 years in the United States. There will be many fine examples of the breed at the show including kittens, altered cats and whole cats.

Also featured will be a Breed History Booth, a Forest Cat store with special anniversary logo items, and lovely rosettes from around the world. We will be hosting a special dinner on Saturday night (and would love to have a group of Folk Dancers join us to help celebrate the traditions of Norway).
In the show hall we will have people dressed in Fantasy Bunads, a breeder that is coming over from Oslo and will be wearing her official Oslo bunad and perhaps even a Viking or two. Many of the cages at the show will be dressed up too to honor Norway and the Norwegian Forest Cat.
As a special admission for the Sons of Norway, anyone coming in their own bunad or in Viking costume will be admitted for free compliments of Norsk Skogkattring USA.
Come celebrate the joy that is the Norwegian Forest Cat.
