Vennekretsen means The Circle of Friends - a concept very much practiced by one of the newest Lodges of the Sons of Norway, established in 2008. Our website was established to provide information about our many activities and events scheduled throughout the year and provide information that will allow you to explore your Norwegian heritage.

This month, due to scheduling circumstances for a good number of our membership, we have agreed to have our August meeting on August 8th, 2010 ( same time and place) We are going to have a special guest speaker ( Eric Brown ) provide a short presentation about a typically Norsk craft called Naalbinding for more info on this technique click on http://www.stringpage.com/naal/basicnaal.html .
Our meeting will also highlight some of the recent events and happenings in Norway. We will discuss the Olsok celebration day which happened on July 29th as well as news from Norway from the last few months.
We hope that you will be able to join us next week for the fun and interesting program offerings ( also don't forget the good food and fellowship that is a high point of our monthly meetings. See you all then.

Our Circle of Friends at Vennekretsen Lodge of Atlanta is one of best benefits of membership because it is the collaboration of our fiends and family that makes all of this possible.
Vennekretsen translated to English is "The Circle of Friends" and symbolizes the relationship of the lodge to "familien og vennekretsen" (family and friends).
